PPI’s approach is to provide the needed training courses by traveling directly to the underserved areas on a regularly scheduled rotational basis, and coordinating with agencies that are not current contract providers in hosting critically needed legislatively mandated and certificate-based courses at your agency facilities.
There are three methods which PPI can assist your agency in reporting training to the Texas Commission on Law enforcement:
- First option is that PPI performs the training at your agency, using PPI instructors. This method of training is highly effective, but not as cost efficient as the the second option.
- Second option, an agency can use their own qualified instructors to conduct training. Following PPI guidelines, the training will be reported to the commission for a nominal fee to the agency, by PPI. It is important to note that no training will be reported by PPI without a prior thirty (30) day notice. This allows PPI time to post the training, and properly prepare the training package for TCOLE final review.
- Third option, an agency can use our virtual method of training that is offered by our partners at the Legal & Liability Risk Management Institute.
